Dr. Knight's students of the month lined up and holding up their awards.

During the  All School Celebration at Dr. Knight, October Students of the Month were recognized.

Those students chosen for showing Flyer Pride during October were (pictured left to right) Cole Hubner, Levi Sandbakken, Grace Strack, Ethan Petersen, Emma Petersen, Ethan Beto, Vanessa Waldoch, Austin Meyer, and Owen Stoner.

The Randall VFW Teacher of the Year Award was presented to Kelly Mertens, Dr. Knight's 3rd grade teacher, during the All School Celebration by Graham Gustafson.

The top 10 Clubs Choice fundraisers at Dr. Knight were treated to a Pizza Party with the principal, Larry Edgerton.  This fundraiser supports the KEA and the many things that they do for the students.

Over 50 Preschool through 5th grade students at Dr. Knight Elementary participated in an October Reading Challenge entitled "Fall Into A Good Book." All students who participated received a reward from Domino's Pizza. In addition, one student from each grade level was drawn to receive an additional prize from participating local businesses.

 

The lucky students that were drawn are Ben Hansen, Kendal Plante, Colton Barton, Jayce Stavish, Parker Crosby, Cora Norberg, Arianna Crowe & Kinzlee Witt.

November Flyer Update

In this month's episode of the Flyer Update...

To lead things off, we hear about highlights from the School Board meeting on October 16, 2023, from Superintendent Greg Johnson. Next, members of American Legion Post 46 stop by to share some history of their involvement with providing a Color Guard to school events for over 50 years. Finally, LFCHS Principal Tim Bjorge stopped by to talk about the recent threat activity that took place and its impact on the school.

Everyone is encouraged to come in costume.  
There will be a COSTUME CONTEST with prizes given to a winner in each grade. T
here will be music and concessions.  
*Students MUST be accompanied by an adult.*

Dr. S.G. Knight celebrated its September Flyer Pride Students of the Month with an all school celebration in October! Parents and family members of the chosen students were invited to attend the celebration. 

Elementary Summer Reading Challenge Winners with a drawing of a open book.

Reading and a love for it, is one of the most important skills we can instill in our children. 

 

This summer, students had a chance to compete in the Flyer Reading Challenge, with the goal of reading 700+ pages.  All students that completed the challenge will be receiving a prize during conferences throughout the next week. 

 

The top 3 winners receiving gift cards donated by Walmart are:

Maci Hubner - $50
